ePortfolio
An ePortfolio (electronic portfolio) is an electronic collection of artifacts that shows your learning journey over time. You will create a number of projects in this class. These class projects will demonstrate examples of your achievement. It is important to share your work with colleagues and future employers in an organized and easily understood fashion.
Throughout the semester, you will learn how to create and use an electronic portfolio (ePortfolio) to organize your projects. Using an ePortfolio provides a richer and more interconnected format than the traditional notebook portfolio. It allows you to easily update your work and provide digital links to your online projects. The best part is that you can share your ePortfolios with a global audience by just sending them a link.
Purpose
Completing this assignment will provide you with
- An organized system for presenting your projects for others to review.
- An artifact cataloging system that allows you to identify your audience, explain the objectives that you are trying to achieve, and reflect on how you designed each project to address specific standards.

Assignment
You will use the Google Sites and this UNI Teacher Portfolio Template to create the various pages needed for your ePortfolio. Following the steps in the ePortfolio Outline, you will create a Google Sites webpage and then copy the information in the templates into your website portfolio.
Once you have created the structure for your personal ePortfolio, you will use the rest of the semester to complete it by adding your personal artifacts.
Your Introduction Page is a starting point ( home page) and reader’s first impression. It should include:
- a photo of you (You should select a photo that will visually support the message of who you are professionally. An action photo of you working with children will be more effective than your senior photo)
- a brief answer to the following prompts:
- Who I am
- Why I am going to be a teacher
- What I hope to achieve through teaching
The Artifacts Matrix Page shows the intersection of your artifacts and standards. It provides tables that relate your projects and the standards they address. Use this Artifact Matrix template with the tables for InTASC Standards, ISTE Standards for Students, ISTE Standards for Educator.
- See Reflection Guidelines for the correlation of projects and standards.
- You will be responsible for aligning your artifacts with the standards in each matrix.
The Artifact Pages provide readers with the background information about the artifact before actually viewing the artifact. Use template to create the artifact pages for the following assignments:
- My PLN
- Blog
- Thematic Unit
- WebQuest
- Digital Video
- Interactive Learning Tool
Every artifact description page should follow the template and include
- title (project name)
- short description
- screenshot(s) of the project (a best visual display of your work)
- Written reflections aligning your artifact with the related standards.
- Hyperlink link to the actual artifact
